At Nagao Acupuncture Clinic, the use of sterile, disposable needles and/or individualized needles (used exclusively on only one person) ensures that there is no risk of disease transmission. The needles are very thin and are much smaller than the needles used in the familiar medical hypodermic injections. Japanese acupuncture needles are generally thinner than those used abroad and hence treatment is very comfortable and relaxing. The most common complication of treatment that may occur is a small bruise or a drop of blood when the needle is removed. Stringent codes of sterilization and hygiene are always adhered to at our clinic.
